This Privacy Policy describes how Obzena LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the VideoShot mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
Summary: VideoShot uses third-party AI services to generate videos. Your input data (text prompts and images) is sent to our AI partner for processing and is not stored by the AI provider after generation is complete.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Text Prompts: Text descriptions you enter to generate videos.
- Images: Photos or images you upload as reference material for video generation.
- Contact Information: If you contact our support, we collect your email address and message content.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Anonymous Identifier: We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create a unique, anonymous user identifier. We do not require you to create an account with personal information such as your name, email, or phone number.
- Usage Data: We collect anonymized analytics data such as feature usage, session duration, and crash reports to improve the App.
- Device Information: Basic device information (device model, operating system version) for compatibility and troubleshooting purposes.
- Purchase Data: Subscription and purchase information managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat, our subscription management provider.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your real name, phone number, or physical address.
- We do not access your photo library beyond the specific images you explicitly select for video generation.
- We do not collect location data.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
2. AI-Powered Video Generation and Third-Party Data Processing
Important: VideoShot uses a third-party artificial intelligence (AI) service to generate videos. Please read this section carefully to understand how your data is processed.
2.1 Third-Party AI Service Provider
We use KIE API (operated by KIE / kie.ai) as our third-party AI service provider for video generation. When you create a video, your input data is sent to KIE API's servers for processing.
2.2 Data Sent to KIE API
When you initiate a video generation, the following data is transmitted to KIE API:
- Text prompts you provide describing the video you want to create.
- Images you upload as reference material (if applicable).
- Video parameters such as aspect ratio, style, and duration preferences.
2.3 How KIE API Processes Your Data

2.4 Your Consent
Before your data is sent to KIE API for video generation, the App will display a consent prompt informing you about this data processing. You may decline, in which case no data will be sent and no video will be generated. By choosing to proceed with video generation, you consent to your input data being processed by KIE API as described in this section.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Video Generation: To process your text prompts and images through our AI partner (KIE API) and deliver generated videos to you.
- Service Operation: To maintain, operate, and improve the App's functionality.
- Subscription Management: To manage your subscription status and credit balance through RevenueCat.
- Analytics: To understand how the App is used and identify areas for improvement, using anonymized data.
- Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and provide assistance.
- Push Notifications: To send you updates about your video generation status and optional promotional content (with your permission).

5. Data Storage and Security
5.1 Where Your Data is Stored
- Firebase Cloud Firestore (Europe - West 1): Your anonymous user profile, video generation records, and credit transaction history.
- Firebase Cloud Storage: Images you upload for video generation are stored temporarily and are used only for the generation process.
- On Your Device: App preferences and cached data are stored locally on your device.
5.2 Security Measures
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission.
- Firebase security rules to restrict data access.
- Anonymous authentication to minimize personal data collection.
- Secure API key management through environment variables and Firebase Secret Manager.
6. Data Retention
- Video Generation Records: Stored in Firestore for as long as your account exists, so you can access your video history.
- Uploaded Images: Stored temporarily in Firebase Storage for the duration of the video generation process.
- AI Processing Data: Not retained by KIE API after video generation is complete.
- Analytics Data: Retained in anonymized form for up to 14 months.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data. You can delete your video history within the App, or contact us for full account deletion.
- Objection: Object to certain types of data processing.
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw Consent: You can decline AI data processing at any time by not proceeding with video generation.

8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States and the European Union. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
